You can permanently delete your GameTab account and personal data at any time. There are two ways to do this, depending on whether you can open the app. Both are described in full in our Privacy Policy (Section 8, "Your Rights and Choices").
Option 1: Delete in the app
- 1Open GameTab and go to More → Settings → Delete My Account.
- 2Resolve anything that affects other users, if prompted. Only groups you own block deletion, so delete or transfer every group you own, including inactive or disabled groups; settle outstanding G-Credit balances; leave games that have not ended; and withdraw from unfinished tournaments. A Co-admin, Manager, or member-only account does not need to leave or delete any group manually.
- 3Type DELETE and re-enter your current password. Your account is deleted immediately — this cannot be undone.
Option 2: Can't open the app? Request deletion by email
Email [email protected] from the email address registered to your account, with the subject "Account Deletion Request". We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 15 days.
What gets deleted
Database records are removed in the account transaction. The stored profile-photo prefix is queued in that same transaction for secure Storage deletion, with automatic retries for temporary failures.
- Your profile (name, phone number, photo URL, bio, location, sex selection, sport skills, preferences) and the queued stored profile-photo file
- All group memberships and roles, and any pending join requests or invites
- Your reactions on announcements
- Your saved-announcement bookmarks and read history, personal Venue Library, weekly goals and goal history, block lists (both directions), and hidden conversation settings
- Your personal score logs (My Stats)
- All push notification tokens and in-app notifications
- Feedback records linked to your account
- Your Terms, Privacy Policy, and age-attestation acceptance records
- Your login credentials (email, password, sessions, and MFA records)
What's kept, and why
A small amount of shared data remains after its direct link to your account is removed (shown as "Deleted User" where applicable), so other members' group history stays accurate and limited records can be retained for the purposes below:
- Game, tournament, and poll participation records, within their normal retention window
- Comments you posted on announcements, shown as "Deleted User"
- G-Credit transaction history — kept with direct account links removed for up to 7 years where needed for record-keeping, audit, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution purposes. Your balance is always zero before deletion is allowed, so nothing is left owed either way. Because these records exist partly to settle disputes, our support team holds a separate internal key that can re-link your own transactions to you if one is ever raised — it is kept with the deletion record below and is not available inside the app. A transaction can also carry a short note written by your group admin; we cannot de-identify free text, so if an admin typed a name it stays in their record of that charge
- Admin Plan history (which plan, when, trial dates) — kept with direct account links removed for up to 2 years. We hold no invoices, card details, or payment records: Apple and Google are the seller and payment processor, and your receipts stay in your store account.
- Reports other users filed about your content — kept with the link to your account removed, so a moderation decision stays reviewable
- Reports you filed about other users' content — the report is the group admin's moderation record too, and an unresolved one is never deleted automatically, so it is kept with your reporter link removed and you are no longer identifiable as the person who filed it
- Chat messages you sent are unlinked from your account but stay in their conversations under the name you had when you sent them — replies and mentions would stop making sense otherwise — and are purged on the normal 90-day cycle. This is the one place your name is kept rather than replaced with "Deleted User"
We also send an automated deletion request to RevenueCat, the service that synchronises Admin Plan status. That request is queued with automatic retries. It removes the GameTab customer profile held there but does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription, which must still be cancelled through your store account.
