You can permanently delete your GameTab account and personal data at any time. There are two ways to do this, depending on whether you can open the app. Both are described in full in our Privacy Policy (Section 8, "Your Rights and Choices").
Option 1: Delete in the app
- 1Open GameTab and go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
- 2Resolve anything that affects other users, if prompted. GameTab currently supports one admin per group, so delete every group you administer, including inactive or disabled groups; settle outstanding G-Credit balances and non-zero Admin Plan invoices; leave games that have not ended; and withdraw from unfinished tournaments. Member-only accounts do not need to leave every group manually.
- 3Type DELETE and re-enter your current password. Your account is deleted immediately — this cannot be undone.
Option 2: Can't open the app? Request deletion by email
Email [email protected] from the email address registered to your account, with the subject "Account Deletion Request." We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 15 days.
What gets deleted
Database records are removed in the account transaction. The stored profile-photo prefix is queued in that same transaction for secure Storage deletion, with automatic retries for temporary failures.
- Your profile (name, phone number, photo URL, bio, location, sport skills, preferences) and the queued stored profile-photo file
- All group memberships and roles, and any pending join requests or invites
- Your reactions on announcements
- Your personal score logs (My Stats)
- All push notification tokens and in-app notifications
- Feedback records linked to your account
- Your login credentials (email, password, sessions, and MFA records)
What's kept, and why
A small amount of shared data remains after its direct link to your account is removed (shown as "Deleted User" where applicable), so other members' group history stays accurate and limited records can be retained for the purposes below:
- Game, tournament, and poll participation records, within their normal retention window
- Comments you posted on announcements, shown as "Deleted User"
- Credit transactions, subscription, and billing records — kept with direct account links removed for up to 7 years where needed for record-keeping, audit, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution purposes
- Chat messages you sent are unlinked from your account and still purged on the normal 90-day cycle
